Two more fast-paced athletic dog sports are Frisbee and Flyball. Frisbee (or Disc) competition judges both the dog and handler on function and style as they perform both required and freestyle maneuvers with the Frisbee. There are several national Frisbee organizations that hold disc trials, each with its own set of rules. AKC doesn't hold Disc Trials as of this date.
Flyball is a team sport. It is a timed relay. Teams, made up of four dogs and four handlers compete head to head. The object is for the dog to take four hurdles (10 ft. apart,) launch and catch a tennis ball (which they eject from a launching box at the end of the row of hurdles,) and race back over the hurdles. Then the next dog repeats the same steps, and so on until all four dogs have gone.
I haven't competed in either of these sports with Pharaohs yet; merely dabbled in training a few Pharaohs in flyball and throwing the Frisbee for fun to those Pharaohs who have taken a natural liking to it.
