There is absolutely nothing that I could possibly write to
do justice to my perfect Regal; there are not the words in this, or any other
language, to explain his perfection... He was an amazing individual who tried
hard and excelled at absolutely everything he attempted in his life, and was the
best friend I've ever known. I owe my life to him, so to speak. This
was my "heart dog," and by far my favorite, beyond any doubt.
Had he lived 100 years, it would not have been enough time. Life goes on,
and I've many other remarkable Pharaohs whom I love dearly, but Regal will
always stand a head and shoulders above the rest in my heart.

They
say memories are golden.
Well, maybe that is true.
But I never wanted memories;
I only wanted you.
In
life I loved you dearly,
and in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
that no other could ever fill.
You
know you were my soul mate
and my truest love and friend.
I don't know how, without you now,
my heart will never mend.
A
million times I've needed you,
a million times I've cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.
If tears could build a stairway,
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
I was
blessed to have had your love
for almost thirteen years,
But now anytime I think of you

for the pain I cannot bear.
Perhaps someday I'll remember and smile,
instead of wallow in despair.
I am so numb and broken,
and nothing seems the same.
I only hope that Heaven is true,
so we'll be together once again.

A keen huntress, humble beauty, lovingly able
mother, sweet and unassuming pack member, and loyal companion, Nile's life was
full and bright. We are eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to
have her in our lives. Her legacy lives on both in spirit and in her
progeny here at Nefer-Temu. She is sorely missed and will never be
forgotten.

talents and hard-working, honest character will never be forgotten. Any
person who achieves half as much in their life as she achieved in hers would be
rendered a saint. The manner in which she was lost will haunt my soul
forever, for she deserved so much better. Forgive us, sweet Tiya.

I will forever be indebted to Noble. He taught me so
much and changed my life forever, as he was the first. His versatility has set the bar high for all that follow
him here at Nefer-Temu.

I wrote this the day
after Noble died. I think the chord progressions (including the occasional
dissonance at the bottom of the 7th chords), modulations, ascending and descending
triplet motives, and "fun loving," quirky
melody line represent Noble's unique personality and perspective on
life. He did things his own way, not always by the book, be it in
the obedience ring, agility ring, or on the coursing field, but it was
always entertaining. He is sorely missed. |
